I is for 'IGELKOTT' (= Swedish for HEDGEHHOG) The Letter 'I' for 'Blogging from A to Z in April', Wednesday, April 10th, 2013

I is for IGELKOTT - [= Swedish for HEDGEHOG] - The Letter 'I' for 'Blogging from A to Z in April', Wednesday, April 10th, 2013 [I have already used another word for 'H' and I don't have a better subject than hedgehogs/igelkottar for 'I'.

Hedgehogs are adorable little nocturnal animals with small beady eyes and sharp quills for protection. Hedgehogs' spiny protection resembles that of the unrelated rodent porcupines and monotreme echidnas. But their spines are not poisonous or barbed.

For protection they can even roll themselves into a ball. They are omnivorous, eating chiefly insects and earthworms. European Hedgehogs are not soft or furry, but are still very cute.

Here's a silver charm of a hedgehog from charms4you that I am going to make a pendant and maybe earrings with and sell to like-minded hedgehog-lovers.

Look at these cute hedgehog beads that Heather Powers of the etsy shop, humblebeads makes!

My theme for A to Z is my favourite things that might show up in written stories, poems, paintings or jewellery. This is my list of subjects that I would like to work with.

Best wishes,
Anna
