This is our tuxedo-boy, Pelle Cat, in one of his favourite hang-outs, atop of my bedroom wardrobe.

Yesterday, Wednesday February first, when we we still recovering from the little adventure with 'Houdini the Cat', a man called in response to my newspaper ad about our tuxedo-boy, Pelle. He was interested in meeting Pelle. He and his two boys came over that same evening to look at him. They had a carrier and took him home with them.

We have given this family a week's trial, to get to know Pelle-boy before we make it final by writing to the Swedish Kennel Club reporting a transfer of ownership for Pelle's number on his ID-chip.

This photo was taken a couple of months ago when I first breached the subject of selling one or two of the kittens.

Elisabet was/is weepy and sad. Erik made sure to tell them that we want to keep in touch with them and visit Pelle several times a year. Sounds good. They had nothing against that. They liked the idea that if they needed help with Pelle, they can call on us.

I'll miss Pelle though. Sure. He'll grow and change, even if it won't be as much as Sara Cat's siblings, considering that he is almost grown. (The kittens were born on the 5th of April 2011. To read an account that eventful night go to this page and this page, and especially this page.) The kittens may even remember each other. Sara's brothers and sisterwent to different homes when they were about twelve to thirteen weeks old, and probably would not remember each other today. We once took Sara to where her sister and one of her brothers lived and she was so afraid of that new place that she just ran and hid under their living-room sofa.

One less cat makes it easier to keep up with the litter-boxes. As I am now the only adult living here, I am also the only one who cleans and refills these toilet-boxes, at least twice a day. I am also the only one who makes sure that there is food and fresh water available.

Hope Pelle is behaving himself right now. I hope they are kind to him.

Pelle's brother, Peep, wanders about the apartment looking for something. He is calling out in a strange voice and is looking up at all of the high places where Pelle usually perches. Maybe Peep misses his brother. It seems so.

As you can see, Pelle Cat is a climber.

Today is my brother's birthday. Happy birthday, Nils, if you read this. I love you.

Best wishes,
Anna
