F is for FAERY - The Letter 'F' for 'Blogging from A to Z in April', Saturday, April 6th, 2013

F is for FAERY. The Letter 'F' for 'Blogging from A to Z in April', Saturday, April 6th, 2013. Elisabet likes Tinkerbell (Tingeling, in Swedish).

Here we see my eight-year-old daughter, Elisabet, trying to fly in her faery-costume. See! Her feet do lift from the floor!

Who do you think Erik looks like?

I think he looks like Tinkelbell's friend, Tristan.

My theme for A to Z in April is my favourite things that might show up in written stories, poems, paintings or jewellery. This is my list of subjects that I would like to work with.

Best wishes,

P.S. Bulletin! Cajsa Cat, who went missing sometime on Wednesday or Thursday April 3rd or 4th, returned safely home this morning, Saturday April 6th.

When I think about Tinkerbell, I cannot help thinking about the author, Sir J.M.Barrie (1860-1937), who wrote the play, Peter Pan, where the character Tinkerbell first sees light. Before his death (1929), Sir James Barrie donated the rights to the Peter Pan works to London's Great Ormond Street Hospital, a children's hospital which still - to this day - benefits from them. (The British government extended the copyright.) What a delightful thought! Imagine faeries like Tinkerbell helping, if only indirectly, children get well. Good work, Tink!

What a lovely costume Elisabet is wearing. Erik does look a bit like Tristan. So glad your cat returned home.

Cute! I love how enthusiastic she is about flying. I want some of that energy. If I could get my hands on it, I'd package it in a tasty cheese and become a billionaire. =)
