'Adornments for Dreams'?

I am in the process of changing the name of this blog from 'Anna's Adornments' to 'Adornments for Dreams' do to a trademark conflict with another jewellery company within the EU. I cannot use 'Anna's Adornments' for my products, but 'Adornments for Dreams' is now a registered trademark.

Mrs. Jenny Matlock's Saturday Centus - Week 92 - Two Peas in a Pod

Jenny Matlock

Welcome to Mrs. Jenny Matlock's Saturday Centus, a writing challenge in which participants are asked to write a text to a prompt using only 100 words or less, not including the prompt, which this week is 'Two peas in a pod'.

To read Mrs. Matlock's instructions scroll down past my text. But please read my story first:

------
'Yes, I see what you mean. They do look alike', said Mrs Carlton to her daughter's first grade teacher, Mrs Robertson.

'Well, I was just wondering. Is Katherine related to Rebecca?'

'No.'

'Maybe cousins or half-sisters?'

'No.'

'Maybe it's just the way they dress. But they do look alike. Like
two peas in a pod!'

'Yes', said Mrs Carlton nervously, thinking back to her daughter's delivery. She had been in an auto-accident and was heavily sedated. They did an emergency C-section. Said it was twins, but that one of them died. Could it be? Nah. it's just not possible!

------
Word count, not including the prompt, according to WordCalc: 99
------

Best wishes,
Anna

P.S.

This is a piece of fiction. It is the 'twins-separated-at-birth-theme'. (Talk about literary devices!) Sorry about dipping into the thriller/horror-genre here. This is what comes from reading too many novels by Stephen King and Dean Koontz last summer (or was it the summer before?) I promise to write a nicer, less scary text, next time.

I posted very late last week. You may like that story better. It's a whole lot funnier. If you have not read my post for last week's SC, please do so here. Thank you.

Here are Mrs. Jenny Matlock's instructions:

Welcome to week ninety-two of Saturday Centus.

I think I told you last week that Miss Nonna at Tasty Tales sent me some prompts to use...

...and because I am packing to move, working on a wedding shower and wedding food for my sister and living without a kitchen...I'm going to take advantage of Nonna's superior brain power...

Again.

So...

THE PROMPT THIS WEEK (THANK YOU NONNA!) IS: Two peas in a pod
WORD COUNT - 100 words total PLUS the five words of the prompt...105 words total
STYLE OF WRITING - Any
ADDITIONAL PICTURES IF DESIRED

The regular restrictions apply: PG, no splitting of the prompt, play nicely and visit the other entries, any style or genre of writing you prefer.

Please display my link button or just a hyper-link back to Saturday Centus. Be careful to link your SC URL to the Linky and not just link to your main blog.

E-mail me directly with ???'s or ask your question in a comment and I will do my best to get back to you as soon as possible.

Feel free to link up anytime between now and next Saturday!
