 Sorry, I'm late with this post, Michael. Here is my answer to your question,
'If your parent or child committed a major crime, would you turn them in?':

Probably not. It would depend upon the crime and if I really believed that he or she actually had commited it. I come from such a straight-laced, law-abiding family, that I would doubt that any of my relatives would be capable of commiting a serious crime. I would wait and find out if it really was true. And still, doubt that I would turn them in unless there was a very good reason to do so.

My children? I am such a mother-hen.  I will do almost anything to help my children, short of being an accomplice in crime. I would at least help them get a good lawyer.
