The Great and Powerful A to Z Theme Reveal Blogfest!

Anna Nordeman

For my A to Z posts I am inspired by Tina Downey's 'Postcards from Sweden'.

Tina Downey

I plan to look at some English words and their Swedish equivalents. I almost decided to withdraw from A to Z because of the workload I have this spring term. I will try to keep it short. I will not be as personally revealing as Tina Downey was -- she wrote a mini-autobiography with her Swedish words. But I may tell some stories/antidotes from my life, family and friends. I may or may not have any pictures. I will not do any Etsy Treasuries for this year's A to Z.

If you haven't read Tina's postcards, you can do it here. It will be a hard act to follow. And I am not going to even attempt to teach anyone any Swedish, unless asked to do so.

Thank you, Tina. You were so right about one thing: Life is Good.

Best wishes,
Anna

Interesting theme. Short is good; don't apologize, celebrate!

That is wonderful how you plan to carry on something that Tina had done but make it your own; she leaves a wonderful legacy in so many different ways! Your theme is definitely a good one! Short and sweet is definitely the way to go too! Hoping all goes well with it along with your work for school!

Fun! I am seriously considering moving to Sweden for a while at some point. This should be useful :)

Hi Anna, great to reconnect for the A-Z. Your theme sounds intriguing, you know I love exploring different languages :) I didn't know Tina Downey, but it feels right that your theme is a tribute to her.

All the very best for the challenge,

Nilanjana.

That sounds like an interesting theme, especially since I'm a bit of a linguist. ☺ Looking forward to your posts!
